Claims we do not make

Know exactly where our role begins and ends

You deserve a clear explanation of what this tool can do. These commitments describe our role, your control, and the decisions that remain with you and VA.

ISOLATED AWS GOVCLOUDVETERAN RECORDControlled accessYOUR RECORDS. YOUR CONTROL.CLAIM ASSISTANT / WHAT WE DONT DO
  • No affiliation with the VA
  • We do not decide your claim
  • No guaranteed outcome, ever
  • Not legal advice or representation
  • No cut of your benefits
  • No certification we have not earned
  • No headline accuracy number

Seven commitments. Each one is explained in full below.

  1. We are not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs

Claim Assistant is a product of VeteransInsights, a private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency.

If any part of this site ever left you uncertain about that, we designed it badly and we want to know.

  2. We do not decide your claim

VA does. Claim Assistant analyzes your records and reports what it finds against published criteria.

A rater may reach a different conclusion, and they have information and discretion the system does not.

  3. We do not guarantee any outcome

No approval. No rating percentage. No effective date. No timeline.

Anyone who guarantees you a VA outcome is telling you something they cannot know.

  4. This is not legal advice or accredited representation

Preparing, presenting, and prosecuting VA claims on a veteran's behalf generally requires VA accreditation. Accredited VSO representatives, claims agents, and attorneys can provide representation.

Claim Assistant is a tool you use to understand your own records. We encourage working with an accredited representative, and the evidence summary is built to make that conversation shorter and more productive.

Accreditation can be verified through VA's public directory. If someone offers to handle your claim, check them there first.

  5. We do not charge veterans a percentage of their benefits

Nothing in this product is priced against your back pay or your monthly award.

Pricing tied to a share of a veteran's benefits is the defining pattern of the operators this industry is known for. We will not use it.

  6. We do not claim a compliance certification

Control mapping, not authorization. FIPS-ready packaging, not FIPS-validated.

We intend to pursue certifications. When one is granted we will name the issuing body and the date. Until then, the language on this site stays as it is.

  7. We do not publish an accuracy percentage

Performance against our internal corpus is measured and tracked, and it is strong. But a synthetic corpus is not a population of real veteran records, and publishing that as a real-world accuracy figure would be misleading.

A number like that is only meaningful with labeled real documents and outcome comparison. Any organization that quotes you a headline accuracy figure for VA claim analysis should be asked what it was measured against.

For balance

What we do claim

This system reads your records, shows you exactly what it found and where it found it, and flags missing evidence or questions for review. An evidence gap is not an instruction to miss a filing deadline. Discuss timing and next steps with an accredited representative.

Every finding points at a source document, so you never have to take a summary on trust. That is the whole product, and it is enough.
